PEDIBUS - The Walking Bus
Pedibus is a Walking Bus realized in several Italian cities as an example of sustainable mobility.
The children are accompanied by their parents to specific stops, volunteers go to pick them up and accompany them to school on foot.
That solution breaks down the traffic, especially in entry and exit time from the schools, the resulting emissions into the atmosphere and the early obesity in children.
Leura has created a mascot, the Caterpillar Gegè, to keeping children safe on the road, ensuring their visibility to drivers, keeping their team spirit, discipline and play. Leura offers a complete product: the mascots, the CD-ROM with a dedicated song, a little history of Caterpillar Gegè, a website dedicated to gather news stories written by children.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
We all know how difficult and important is to manage the emergency suitable for children in nursery, kindergartens and primary schools, without creating panic. The Caterpillar Gegè, built in fireproof materials, is very useful: the children stick to its handles to help Gegè going out of school and by doing that they also get out in safely and quietly way, like a game.

The Caterpillar Gegè will be useful during cultural visits, or to reach "summer camps" or to pick up kids from hotels for leisure activities.
