A dream of breastfeeding chair
MimmaMà® is a new and unique armchair designed by Arch. Mitzi Bollani for helping new mothers breastfeeding the baby, assisting them during the first happy, but not easy days after giving birth when beds and chairs are not suitable for them. Its seat is designed and shaped to support their bond structure and not press their aching parts. The sturdy and nice metallic structure supports the seat, made in soft material, pleasant to touch and thanks to its particular conformation it allows an optimal rest for the mothers’ lumbar areas, their shoulders and heads. High and wide arm-rests to support and not to tire arms, to support the baby easier in several possible breast-feeding positions, twin breast-feeding included, soft pull-out foot-rest, smart and ingenious head-rest to relax mothers while they are looking at their baby suckling. It is extremely easy to clean and to sanify. Where Mimmamà's potential can be exploited: LEURA picked up mothers' request for the creation of breastfeeding areas, for this reason MimmaMà was thought for all the places where modern mothers live: their homes, stores, stations, airports, coffee bars, infant schools, service stations, hotels, holiday camps, etc... besides obviously the hospital's wards (as Neonatology, Obstetrics and Paediatrics) that are places where the armchair is absolutely necessary.
